A truly delightful town, Porto de Galinhas has many teptations including excellent diving and snorkeling, horse back riding and guided walks and hikes ranging from an hour or so to the whole day. Not to mention the boating trips that are easily available on the beach-side, which incidentally stretches almost 3 miles. It really is one of the best beaches in the whole of Brazil. And finally, you just have to take a ride in a beach buggy, if your brave enough ask the driver to give you a ride with emotion - but be prepared for the ride of your life!

Porto de Galinhas is a town on a famed coastline in north-east Brazil. Access is relatively easy being about an hour or so from Recife International Airport. Porto (as it is known as locally) is part of a 38 mile stretch of coast which was colonised by the Portuguese and Dutch, the colonial legacy is miles and miles of sugar and coconut plantations, in addition to colonial built buildings.

Porto de Galinhas has astounding natural beauty and it’s hardly surprising it is the most visited beach resort on the Pernambuco coast. The town is under the political jurisdiction of Ipojuca and encompasses other beaches too, such as; Maracaipe, Cupe and Camboa.
